Home button is out, doesn't function whatsoever. I was reccomended to do a soft reset, and it didn't help the other problem of my Internet being out too. It goes to a black screen. But with my home button randomly not working...I cannot reset it, and I would like for this not to be the end of my Zune HD...
I believe if you set a lock on your Zune, and then enter the wrong pin several times it gives you an option to reset. I have never reset it this way, but as far as I know It does a hard reset.

It does an erase all to protect the owner's content and private info. You probably get a reboot as part of this, but not a hard reset. However, if a firmware glitch has fouled up your buttons, that is usually all you need. You may really have dying hardware...
Like...when I press it I can hear it.. But theres no noise coming from the Zune's outputs if thats what you mean.
No I did mean if there was a click from the button, because that would mean something porbably shifted inside. As it is its most likely an electrical problem, so there's not much you can do to fix it.
Any other ways to do a hard reset....?
