For some reason my Zune though that a Japanese pop band is the Wu Tang Clan. It's very annoying seeing them in the background while I'm listening to good music. Is there a way to force it to the default, doesn't-know-who data (which is nothing).
Also, I can't help but think someone made an OpenZDK app or an external program to edit the artist background and bio on the Zune HD a while back.
I know of no way to edit the background pics... but check that the band is not incorrectly linked in zune software. Right click the album, and click 'more about this album' to see where it is linked. To relink it, right click it again, and use 'find album info.'
Thanks. How can I remove the link if the album isn't in the "Find album info." section?
you can't remove a link, only change it.
Right click the album in zune software and edit the tag data if it's wrong, or when you start the find album info process, edit the search terms.
The problem is that the album name and one track in it is the same as the album and a track from the Ying Yang Twins. I tried using changing it from "Drop" to "DROP" but that didn't seem to work (apparently it accepts latin characters in UTF-8 as normal). I've also renamed the album and song to something completely different but it still refuses to change.

Search only on Ying Yang Twins. They have several albums in the marketplace database.
I don't want the Ying Yang Twins, the group (or rather, duo) that this album is by is named ClariS (maybe I should have mentioned the name earlier), however there are only three of their singles in the database and none of them are the correct one. I've even tried changing the album to one of those, but it still thinks it's by the Yin Yang Twins.
Link it to one of the singles from the correct artist, then manually edit the tag data to the correct album title and song. You'll get at least the right band showing up... (As I said above, you can't remove this data, only change it.)
I did exactly as you said, but it's still linked to the Ying Yang Twins album. I'm starting to contemplate rebuilding my library, although I'm not sure if that would help.
EDIT:
I remember the program. It was called ZuneConsole. Doesn't seem to work anymore though (also, development for it seems to have ceased).

then it either didn't link, or the zune online database is confused.
How did you get these songs? Can you re-rip the CD, and replace your badly linked file with a new one?
