Default Zune Labs

Because creating a new topic every time I make something that I don't finish would make these forums a bit bloated here are a list and downloads for all my "failed" projects.

I'll update this post whenever I add something new.

If you are thinking of suggesting a game idea you may want to check here first.

Enough of that:

Here you will find all of my "failed" and "incomplete" projects that I have decided to release. These Labs do compile and a ccgame is included with the download, however they do not work as I intended.

You may reuse the code from these downloads for free. If you get anything working on the Zune or elsewhere a link would be nice.

Downloads: Skydrive Folder, Includes Code and Compiled versions

ZuneSand: This was a little side project I had. The idea was to create a sandbox similar to the online falling sand games. After a few hours it fell apart. The problem: too much sand! The screen shows a 100x100 pixel box. That is still 10,000 sand particles to simulate (even if it only redraws the ones that update). Includes a custom event handler and event for handling reupdating the texture. This is ported from my PC version written in XNA 4.0, I tried to optimize but after downsizing as much as possible I realized how futile it was.

miMotion: This is actually the usable version of my Spritimation library (which is still a WIP). Basically it draws an animated form of an image by subdividing it into a set number of rows and columns and drawing each row/column in sequence. This effectively creates an animated image. There are no problems with this, I just can't say I will be taking it much farther than it is. My Spritimation library is still currently under development. NOTE: The images used in the above screen shots and in miMotion are not my own but simply the result of a quick google search.

Donation's optional, but appreciated.
