Default Has the Zune Reached Collectable Status?

So my 3 year old Zune 120 has finally crapped out and I've started looking around. I couldn't believe some of the prices.

Sure, there are some places that are pretty reasonable, but I couldn't believe some of the big names and what they were charging.

Amazon Amazon
- $498.95
Sears - $871.76

And the original Zune 30 is being
sold at $449.99 sold at $449.99
?? Even on Ebay, sellers are charging http://compare.ebay.com/like/220827076814?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar&_lwgsi=y. Compare that to an iPod 160Gb which is
being sold at $229.99 being sold at $229.99
and I'm really scratching my head.

Now, to be fair the vast majority of places are reasonable, but these few places really caught my eye. What would the reason be behind these inflated prices?? Could the Zune be (or becoming) considered a collectable or classic since the line has been discontinued?

In the eyes of the sellers perhaps, but I doubt prices will stay that way for long.

I don't know about collectible status, but they are damn good PMPs that are not being made anymore. The same will probably happen to the Zune HD in a year or two. People want them, but they're in short supply as far as I know.

Parts can be found cheaply and in abundance though.
