Zune 30 will not sync properly

I have a Zune 30(The old Halo edition) and Every time I try to sync anything onto it, it will start syncing and at random intervals the Zune will just restart(as in turn off and turn back on, connect, and sync again) and just does this until I decide to make it stop because it never successfully syncs anything. It started doing this after I started it one day and it told me, it had to recover from an error and had to delete everything off of it. How can I fix this, if possible? any and all help is appreciated.

this may be a problem with the zune software, so i reccomend that you reinstall the software and then comment on how it went.

Zune devices restart when they encounter an 'unrecoverable' error. This could be data, or more likely, device firmware. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/z...8-f5e9d8b00710
Reintialize it- you will have to resync all your content after doing this.

SO far re-initializing it worked, THANK YOU!!!

And it just started doing it again.

That sounds to me like a dying hard drive...
