a program was recently discovered for liberate that allows the watching of internet TV streams and youtube. the program, called MyPlayer, also has the capability to connect to Hulu, netflix and other sites through a program know as PlayOn. atleast, thats what was claimed. has anybody out there been able to use this program to its alleged capabilities?
What I have so far:
-you must have the .net compact framework installed
-coreplayer is recommended, and appears to be required (coreplayer can be found here
@jareeb you should be able to watch YouTube with it through playon, but first you need to be able to connect to playon. I am trying to figure that part out, but first I need to get coreplayer.
@mistercrazy8 I used 7-zip to open up the original ztube.rar file, and in 7-zip installed the cab file. It would not work if I extracted the rar file and then attempted to install the cab. Unfortunately, you probably just got the cab file from the myplayer site. I'll go download that and see what I can do, and if necessary I'll post the original rar.
I dowloaded the cab file from the myplayer site, and it allowed me to simply install the cab file like you would any other cab file. Are you sure you have the right one?
@BooBah
Were you able to get CorePlayer installed?
I tried installing the cab, and it asked whether i wanted to patch it to work with the CPU type or something like that. I selected yes and was unable to install.
I got MyPlayer installed, but it need CorePlayer to stream anything.

UPDATE:
Ok, i was able to run CorePlayer. It ran just fine, although none of the youtube stuff worked. I tried getting it to stream video from my computer (with VLC media player streaming it), but no luck. Maybe i'll mess around with it later.
anybody else been messing around with this?

If you get YouTube working, this will be big fricking news...
On top of that, Netflix? No one in their technologically adept mind has considered that much!
the applications work fine
Coreplayer is fine
MyPlayer is fine
You cannot stream from myplayer. Most of the services are exclusive to the UK and the ones that aren't are not working anyways.
As regards the .cab files. I have a licensed copy of ocp win ce cab manager and can disable compression on any cab file (don't tell the government/copyright holders) (also, email me a cab and I'll send you a decompressed one no problem)
The uZard Browser won't even start (I'm Contacting their Tech Support Team)
mVu (the new version) won't even start
I am essentially incapable of using any of these software for streaming.
Oh and I do have a question for anyone who can answer it:
Will any newer versions of Sniffi work with Liberate?
I really need at least WPA PERSONAL TKIP to work for it to be practical.
