In the batch of new apps released today was the app Zune Reader. A basic eReader for your ZuneHD. Anyway in it it gives you the option to import catalogs or books by entering a URL. I'm not really sure how this is supposed to work. Help?
well now mr. smart guy, would you mind providing a site where you can host files without having the autodownload link five bajillion characters long?
EDIT: nevermind, dropbox seems to be working fine, once you find the "Shorten link" button. oh, and apparently capitals matter in an url. this explains SOOO much
yes, and if you search up lucicat, you can create your own site like that.
i am continuing to experiment with calibre2opds to try and get it working instead though
There is also a store part of the app, but it won't let me download anything. Like how do you pay for the books that are out on the market? With Microsoft points or do you have to give credit card info?
if you notice when you select the store it just sends you back to the public domain section. i think they took out the store on the zune reader, but can't take away the acual option since its on the website
If you go to Browse catalog, and click search, you can type in the name of a book or author. Then press the bar at top to bring a drop down menu of all the options. One is eBook Store. And no I don't get it either. You can't download anything from it.
Has anyone else had any trouble downloading and of the books from the Original Books part of the catalog? My Zune simply refuses to download anything that isn't part of the Public Domain Books. None of the self-published novels or short stories are available.
