Default media usage rights getting in my way

I used the 14-day trial and downloaded a ton of music, much of which is on my zune hd. I decided it worked nicely so I upgraded to the zune pass. Big mistake. I can't listen to any of the music because these damn usage rights are standing in my way. The zune software gave me 10 credits so obviously it knows I'm a zune pass carrier yet it's getting in my damn way.

Now I remember why I torrent music - no error message at all.

What should I do since all of the suggestions for resetting DRM and **** do not work?

Delete all the music you downloaded and redownload it.

When you have the 14 day trial gives you a specific DRM number profile, and when you buy the Zune Pass, it's a different one.

That should fix it.

Let us know how you get on.

I think Charge probably has it right. You can try deleting and re-downloading one or two only to prove or disprove that faster and easier.
But... before you do that, where does the music fail? On the device only, or on the PC or both?
If it's the device only, you probably only need to relink your device to your zune software.

Eh, it fails on both now since I plugged the device in without testing music ont he software first. I tried deleting all content and redownloading via subscription history yet the songs stil don't work. Is there any reason they made this so difficult? Like I go and search on microsoft's website and there are 1000 different things to try but they're all similar and confusing. I thought buying a zune pass would mean I got to continue the good experience I had during my trial. If this can't get resolved is there any way I can get a refund?

If it fails on both, it now means whatever the root cause is, your device content is expiring. If you have tried the DRM reset tool and that fails, and if you are sure you are linked to your zune account (so device music can relicense) AND you are logged in on the software to the account with the zune pass, then the issue is not with the pass or the zune or zune software. It's something broken on your PC... like some windows dll.
