American Top Gear: a preview
American Top Gear comes our way in a few hours, so I did this quick preview about what tonight's show (and hell, the whole season) will be about.

Lawl... that's exactly the way it's going to be... The Mighty Dodge Caravan: The needs of the Americans have been met. [s]Full stop[/s] Period.
This is going to be just as horrid as the American versions of The Office or The IT Crowd
p.s. My brothers asking me why i burst out laughing...

As if The Office and The IT Crowd weren't bad enough.

The Office did a lot better here than it did in the UK.

The Office was meant to be short and.. well not sweet.. but awkwardly funny.. it wasna supposed to be Americanized into 768399 seasons and pulled along till even the name brought out a cringe from you...
As for the IT Crowd. seriously? what the hell were they thinking??

I want that car now
The American version of The Office isn't bad, but I haven't watched it in 2 years, or seen the original version. I have yet to watch The IT Crowd, but I have all of the episodes on my hard drive.

The drawing is quite funny.
In truth, an American version can't be any worse than Top Gear itself is. Personally prefer Car and Driver.
Not every British show is a winner, in fact the stinker/winner ratio is about the same for every region. Not including the overuse of reality series.
Now, excuse me while I go back to watching Detroit 1-8-7 and A Touch of Frost .

I am a huge Top Gear fan. Its possibly my favorite show. But I have never been able to stand these remakes for other countries. I haven't watched the American version yet but I'm not in a huge rush to do so. They always try and find people with personalities close to the original Top Gear hosts and it never works. Its just bad acting.
