Lol Played then hit the home button it glitched and the game ran but behind the home screen it was running in the backround with the menues still working in front of it. I was able to control the game while the homescreen was their it was just hard not to hit a menue button but it worked it was epic it doesn't do that anymore but i was amazed the homescreen and internet didn't lag at all with the game running in the backround
Then why did it disable both the home button and the power button??!?!?!?!! I couldn't even turn the sh** off. When the home button actually worked for less than one second, the game was still playing in the main menu. Misinformation my a**.
Here is an idea: Exit the game properly instead of pressing the home button. You can always restart your Zune by holding the power button.

It is just as fast as moving right. It depends on how far you drag.
Awesome. Thanks. Haven't gotten the hang of movement using touch, but it seems like just touching the square to move forward and using tilt for backing up would be easier. Just a guess though.
Bug found - if playin and tapping on the black boarder below the menu of the game it will bring up your main zune menu kind of kind of on top of the game, you can navigate through and change songs and all

When I release the source code, people can change it to be like that if they want.

That happens when you press the home button. That can be fixed by not pressing it.
Well I just played it for the couple of the minutes and while it does take a while to get used to the controls it's not bad. The only problem I had was several times I was not able to turn around fast enough to shoot a couple of the enemies that were attacking me. But other than that I can't wait to see what else might be ported if a Doom port was able to be made so fast.
wow amazing feat for the zune! nice to see an app posted so quickly after the release of openzdk. hopefully this sets the bar for more apps to come... great work!
You obviously did not exit it if it was running in the background.
I can actually confirm his glitch. I was able to get back to the main screen with DOOM still running. The menu was in the foreground but I could still control the DOOM game with tilt. Shutting down and restarting fixed the situation. I think it happened when I hit the menu button, but I can't tell you whether or not that's what did it. I'll try to recreate the glitch and possibly get a video of it.
So just out of pure curiosity is there a way to make custom "ROMs" via this hack and if so is it possible that you could make a more pda-like ui? Also is it possible to take the device back to windows ce6?
I laughed so hard when I read this, Which Pokemon game though, haha!! I really want a Pokemon game though. Get to it!!
Well I think one of the first ones should be emulated first. Let's see Red or Blue; Yellow; or Silver or Gold. Really if any of these are managed I would expect that 1. Nintendo would be pretty pissed off and 2. Who ever manages to do it would become very popular very fast.
I agree with dual-analog, not only is it better looking, but it is easier to use too. Also, how do I look up? There's a guy shooting me on top of some sort of tower but I can't look up to shoot him.

Just shoot in his direction. Doom was made that way in the first place.
