Default Netflix on Zune HD

I was thinking, and others may have thought the same thing before me, but it would be great to have a netflix app on the zHD. I mean, MS already has it stuck to the 360 and they might be able to get it on the Zune. I think it would be awsome to just bring your dock and zHD wherever you went and it would be as MS says "Portable Perfection" But what do you guys think. Do you think it would or could happen.

well first netflex uses an internet connect to stream its media and WIFI B,G is way too slow to stream a full SD movie without "stuttering" ..much less HD ..

a more convenient idea is to have a premium zune pass service for videos ....

ps netflex is kinds useless since they have a "rent" feature in the marketplace

Its not useless if you are already paying for netfix. Its like saying netflix on the 360 is useless because you can go out and rent a dvd to put in the 360

What they could do is have netflix in the zune marketplace, if you have netflix you can rent movies from there just like we can do now from ms. They would obviously be free but maybe like only 3 out at a time or something just to keep it under control.

I have to disagree about B/G having anything to do with the stuttering you are experiencing. I get a perfectly smooth Netflix streaming experience on my laptop and even my netbook using wifi.

i never said i had problems streaming but the fact is that a laptops wifi antennas have a much wider range than the zune/ZUNE HD wifi antenna

I don't agree. Assuming you get an average of 22 Mbit/s over the Wifi connection, the bottleneck won't be on the connection itself - actually, that ends up being faster than your ISP download speed.

The bottleneck could be on the device, but I'd like to think that the Tegra should be able to handle it.

hmm... a netflix app would be cool. BUT a Sune Video Card Pass would be even better in my opinion. You can only watch so many videos online in netflix...not all of them are the popular ones. With a zune video pass....amazing things can happen.

Netflix would be cool, but streaming Netflix would kill the battery

I agree. I'd like a sort of 'Netflix Portable', considering that I already pay for Netflix and decrypting and keeping their movies is illegal.

I would definitely like it on the Zune software not on the device. i already use Netflix and it would be da bomb to have it on my Zune HD

This is something I had been hoping for for a while now too. Zune Video Pass would also be awesome. If either one of them became available, I'd sign up for sure.

Besides, wasn't a Netflix app for the iPhone/iPod Touch announced (I know it's been at least rumored)? Get one for the Zune HD!

OK I wasn't sure, I know it was at least rumored. I don't own an iPod Touch though so it wouldn't benefit me. This is why I'm hoping for the app on the Zune!
