Zune HD Key Combos

Here is a list of key combos for the ZuneHD. If you are experiencing problems, use these before asking for help.

Screen Lock
Press the power button once.

Power Off
Hold the power button for 3 seconds then pull down on the screen saver.

Reboot
Press and hold power button for 10 seconds.

Format Device (Erases firmware and content)
Reboot device (see above) and, while the device starts up, hold the home (center) button and media button (on the side) at the same time.

Recovery Mode (Does not erase content but allows for a firmware reinstall)
Press and hold the power and media buttons for 15 seconds. The device will reboot in Recovery Mode.
(To install firmware, connect the device to a computer with the Zune Software.)
