ok first off what the hell is this thing? how do you ride your music? how does that work out? And why are they charging 10$ to dl this game.... it just doesn't really look something that'd interest me.

Whoa! Easy there...My main reason for tossing $10 for this game is cos i got a couple hundred songs worth "Riding." I've got alot of songs to ride.

The whole concept is at their website audioSurf.com

From what i've seen they take the rythem, beat, vocals, etc and use it to form the bumps, curves, and twists(and more) of that track...you can pick from a set of characters...each one has a vehicle, using either the keyboard, or mouse, you can move your vehicle left or right and perform special features of that character.

If that's not your cup of tea...that's cool. I just found the concept interesting, gave it a shot and got my money's worth.

Though i'm told some of the best rides occur when playing "The Doors." As seen on youtube some of "The Who" videos are intense rides.

well I went to their site.... and it didn't really explain anything except that you ride the thing.... I was just wondering if it's an interesting game to people out there... and would keep you occupied for a long period of time... also how does the UI feel to you? is it very smooth?

smooth as in FPS? if that's the question, it's dependent on the pc...Maxxed out i'm gettin some good stuff. And it's interesting to some...depends...

It's an OK game, I played the beta. Not something I'd spend hard-earned cash on though. Especially 10 of those said dollars. Its more of a novelty than anything. Certainly less captivating/skill-based than frets on fire.

I dunno, I think it's pretty cool.

One sweet thing I did was hook my 360 controller up to my laptop and play using it. Didn't really improve the experience, but it was fun!

i played the beta awhile back when they were doing that weekend only or something,was alright,got boring after playing so many songs
