No where has it been said that there will be no 30 support.
Just because they mentioned use of the touch pad does not mean there will be no 30 support, stop Jumping to conclusions, there will prob be a touch/textile option, that would be my guess.
I really don't see why they wouldn't support the 30gb. If firmware is 30gb-compliant why not games? The touchpad doesn't make a big enough difference in controls. I'm calling it - 30gb support.
It will support the 30GB according to the official FAQ: Q: Will this feature only work on newer Zune devices?
A: XNA Game Studio 3.0 currently will support Zune 4/8, Zune 30, and Zune 80 devices.
They better be free, it'l help give zune an edge over apple, at least there better be SOME free games at least... and some good games, unlike most of the apple games i've seen.

That's actually sort of my view as well, the only game I play is halo 3, and there arent many games I'd play on a zune if I had one, the thing is... playing wifi games with my friend, during a super boring Math lesson... is enticing.
No problem . I'm kind of excited. I only bought one or two games for my iPod. They were okay. Hopefully the Zune does better....and gets Sonic.
, sonic would be fun, and definitely possible. I didn't buy any ipod games though, and probably won't buy much/any zune games if they cost money. I got tired of the included ipod games within a few days. But then again, playing over wifi increases the re-playability, even if the game sucks.
