Default Wrong Direction...

OK, I was thinking to myself...if we can't hack the zune firmware/device to enable read/write...why not make our own WPD infestructure...I was reading up on how this is done and it seems that it would take a loooooooonnnnnnggggg time to do, however seeing as that WE would write it, WE would know when people needed updates and whatnot...Also WPD can support Wireless...those microsoft bastards!

We of course would need to write ourselves a driver and then software to support that driver...IMO this is the way to go, seing as now that we would have control over the read/write functions of the Zune, and know exactly how it does it, it is a humungous advantage...

Just a thought...I'm gonna "Try" to make a driver for it...hopfully it can turn out ok...

The problem is we don't know what it addressed to begin the read/write process. If we can figure that out it would be plenty simple. However I'd like to know where you found this article, sounds like a good read. Will you please send me a link to this article and I'll read up on it as well that way we can discuss possibilities.

But if we write our own drivers for it, Mircosoft thankingly hands us a nice WPD Driver Documentation/Debugger to debug all the functions on that perticular device, essentially it is like taking a paperweight and turning it into a Mp3 Player...we write Everything, and Microsoft kindly gives us the tools we need

That article is on microsoft.com, and all the tools needed are also located there as well

And I'm already getting started on a new driver for it...

The problem is we still don't know how the sync process coorilates with the Zune. Please send me a link to this article you are talking about.
