Zune 80 battery dying

I turned on my zune and it showed that it had 3/4 battery. I went to listen to some music and it brought up the low battery message, so I click ok and then it went to the battery in the middle of the screen and shut off. This is the second time it has happened.

Can anyone tell me why and how to fix the problem?

Hi,

try to fully charge and fully discharge your Zune about 3-5 times. It should "wake-up" the lithium-ion battery. If not, you may have a defective unit !

fully discharging a batt ruins it by making a "memory"

The batterys dont keep memory like the old ones do chi. About the problem your having with the zune not keeping a charge,after update 2.0,only some including me have a problem with the zunes turning off,the zune goes to sleep,but the hard drive still spinds,microsoft is aware of the problem and is releasing an update this month to fix the problem.
