Default MWC: Nokia 610 released - US version on sale in Q2

The Nokia Lumia 610 is here. The Lumia 610 is Nokia's first steps into the low-spec market with Windows Phone. They will sell the Windows Phone device priced at 189 euros ($254) in the second quarter to capture first-time users against similar devices powered by Android.

The Lumia 610 will be 30 per cent less expensive than their closest model, the 800. The device will be targeted at young people to hook them to the company's new platform.

For a low-cost handset its looks are surprisingly good, and pretty similar in fact to the HTC Trophy, while of course being available in many different colours. Of note is that the phone does not have a clear black screen, and can only record VGA video at 30 fps. The device should be running the new lower-end specified Tango version of Windows Phone 7, but Nokias site seems to differ, stating it will be running Mango. Would you buy one knowing the 900 is just around the corner?
