FAQ
What Are ".lrc" Files?:
Wikipedia is your ally.
How Do I Use ".lrc" Files?:
1).
Go here. It's an app for all generations of Zune, PC, and XBox called XNA Lyrics. It was created by jfperusse to read .lrc's. It's a great app. (it's on my Quickplay)
2). After you've deployed the app to your Zune and read the instructions on how to add lyrics to the Zune you'll be wanting to add some lyrics.
3). Grab the .zips mentioned above. Open the .zip and merely copy & paste the files into the correct location (said location is in the instructions).
4). Package, deploy, and then enjoy.
How Do I Edit ".lrc" Files?:
1). Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button

, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
2). Click the View tab, and then, under Advanced settings clear the "Hide extensions for known file types" check box, and then click OK.
3). Find the .lrc you need to edit and change it's file extension from ".lrc" to ".txt"
4). Open the file with a wordprocessing program (like Notepad).
5). The .lrc files here have 6 brackets: "ti","ar","al","le","re","ve".
6). The most important brackets are ti = song title, ar = artist, and al = album. If you let the Zune software handle your metadata then you shouldn't need to make changes with those three, but better safe than sorry.
7). After fixing any errors save the .txt, return the file extension to ".lrc", repackage, redelpoy, and re-enjoy.
The files here were created using lyrics obtained through "
Autolyrix" and "
Minilyric". The "
RapGenius" website was used in conjunction for verification/correction purposes of some lyrics. The changes made to the original lyrics include grammar/lyrics corrections, album/artist changes, timing issues, etc.,. All thanks and credit goes to the people whom originally typed up the lyrics.
