Default Android

How many Android users do we have on the forum? I personally love Android and elieve it to be superior to iOS in almost every way. So what are your thoughts on Android?

If you have an Android phone, what phone do you have and what ROM are you running on it? Can you recommend some great ROMs to fellow Android users?

I have an HTC Droid Incredible running Cyanogenmod 7, but I am experimenting with some other ROMs.

I have the original Droid (so old, i know) and I'm running Cyanogen 7.0 on it. It works pretty great, kinda slow, but that's to be expected with the hardware its utilizing.

I'm actually downloading that right now, oddly enough. I've heard it looks similar to the iPhone, so I'm not sure if I'll like it...

I was going to recommend CM7, but after some research I learned that it does not support your device. You should try this ROM, though.

I have done some googling and have yet to find a way to root my phone.

I have the Samsung Epic 4G (The Sprint version of the Samsung Galaxy S 4G) and I'm running Urban Regeneration 1.1.1 (modded so much that it doesn't look at all like the original rom)
I was running ACS ICS beta 4, but the memory leak was really annoying me, so I switched back.

I have a Samsung Vibrant, from the original Galaxy S line. I got it back before people realized how much they sucked
Anyways, I don't feel like rooting it, so... yeah. TouchWiz...

The Galaxy S 4G line is awesome. And the GSII is the most powerful phone available right now. Did Samsung just fail the first time?

Samsung has always failed with mobile phones, as far as my experience goes.
I've owned many, and refuse to buy more.
I just got a good deal on the Vibrant, and thought maybe Samsung can't screw up the UI (that's my main complaint of Samsung devices) because heck, it's Android

If you don't like the UI, then root it. If you aren't going to at least try, how can we feel sorry for you?

Why can't you root your phone? Samsung doesn't lock their phones at all, and provides kernel sources so that the community can make roms. Samsung is the most hacker friendly device manufacturer. Did you buy dumb phones or smart phones? The dumbphones are ****ty.
Have you tried this? And did you make sure you had samsung drivers installed?
