Default Android tablet

Hey guys, been a while, I'm looking for a decent Android tablet under $300, any suggestions?
Ebay seems to be fulla Ipad lookalikes. I love the HTC Flyer my friend has, but it's unaffordable, and I can't find anything even close to the HTC Sense interface. I don't care if it doesn't have 3G, as I'd not use it anyway.

yeh he's right my father bought me a Nook Color to read but i just rooted it and started using Honey Comb. i suggest just to use an SD card to boot android instead of rooting the device directly.

I'm using a Pandigital. Flashed it (since the Pandigital 'android' dl seems to be somewhat unstable) and now it's running android 2.1 perfectly. Pretty good for the price.

This combination works well for me, under $300 total.

She's a he, FYI.

Anyways, I'd agree.
$250 new gets you a 3G and camera-less tablet that seems to work well.
And booting off an SD card won't void any warranties

Yes, yes it does. A rooted Nook Color is going to be your best bet for a low priced Android tablet. Speaking from experience.

Yup. You'll end up having an Android ROM on it.
So it is fully Android.

Get your hands on an HP TouchPad, "root" it (the user manual shows you how to), hack it, and load up Android (when it's released).

You get an "Android" with bigger screen, twice the internal memory, and camera for less than forty percent of the price of a Nook Color.

The real challenge is that first step...

Is rooting webOS devices still simply entering the Konami Code?
