Zune HD Dock Question

when you connect the Zune HD to a Zune HD AV Dock does it automatically start displaying video out>?

The reason I ask this is because I have my current Zune 80gb hooked up to my car using the Zune AV Dock V2 and every time I want to get it to display video out I have to go and do it manually through the settings.
