Problem Synching (Syncing, Synchronizing) video files that Zune SW will play
I don't know if I am the only one to have this problem. I have searched the forums but can't find syncing (synching or synchronizing) problems exactly like mine.
On my desktop (but not my laptop) the Zune software will play new videos (both ones that were generated by my camcorder, as well as ones I created from youtube content; ), but they will not synch. The error the Zune software gives is that it cannot find the files, that they may have been moved or renamed.
I reiterate: the Zune software will play the videos. It is not the case that the videos cannot be found, nor are they improperly formatted.
Furthermore, if I move the files to my laptop, I can synch the videos with my zuneHD, where they play without a hitch.
The problem is exclusive to the desktop. Yes, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the software. I have erased and replaced the video files, and put them in their own folders, in the Zune folders, in different hard drive partitions, on the C: drive, on external hard drives, and on flash drives. All to no effect.
Any suggestions?
By way of rounding out the picture:
I have a family of Zune HDs, 16-gigabytes for each of my kids, and a 16-gig and a 32-gig for myself. The synching problem is the same for all the Zune HDs.
I have a couple of years experience syncing videos (as well as apps and music), and have probably put 500 different video clips (AVIs and MP4s) on and off the different Zune HDs.
