Default Zune SW: Error Accessing Artist Profiles

This is the area normally accessed by opening your music collection, selecting an artist to display their album list, and then clicking the "more about (artist name)" link located below the album list.
Typically, it opens an artist profile page that includes such things as their bio, discography and related artists links.
It was working for me as recently as last week, but now it is displaying the following:

ERROR. THIS ITEM IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AT ZUNE MARKETPLACE.
click here for more information on the status and availability of our services

The link provided takes you to the official Zune support page where their status is reported as 'up and running'.

On a possibly related note, I'm also experiencing issues with the Now Playing screen. Sometimes it will start, sometimes not, it depends on the artist and the song being played. When it works, it will either bring up the collage of album covers from my collection, or it will display the artist images for the particular song that is playing, more often than not it's the former. I'd never had problems before with them being displayed for any of the songs I tested that I know had worked previously. I mention this issue because some of the images on the profile page are the same ones used in the Now Playing screen.

Also, after un-installing and re-installing the Zune software (at the recommendation of Zune chat support) I began going through the Zune setup process and at the point that it asks to type in 3 artists to add to the Pins section in Quickplay, it did not find any of the 3 artists in the database that I had previously Pin-ned before un-installing. It began searching and offering artist names as I typed, but none were those that I entered, in fact it seemed many of them were classical or world music artists(?).

In chatting with support, they confirmed that there was no issues or outages of any kind that may be causing these problems...for whatever that's worth. Although this all sounds to me like it's some sort of database problem.

I'm open to your suggestions and comments, thanks!
