Zune 3.5mm Jack Video Support

Hi guys, I was wondering which versions of the zune can output video through the 3.5mm jack when it has RCA cables attached at the other end. Is it only related to the Zune HD, or can other Zune models provide this feature?

I really couldnt find anything anywhere, I figured owners were the best bet. This is for use in a car to output video and sound through the head unit of the vehicle.

Zune HDs can not output video through the headphone jack. I know that the Zune 30, 80 and 120 will. I am not sure about the older flash Zunes.

Perfect. So all i need is the 30/80/120 gb model zune itself, a 3.5mm to RCA (Red/White/Yellow) Cable?

I believe the flash 2nd gens can output video through the jack.

Sorry I don't know which one's are considered flash 2nd gens, is that the 80/120 models?

My mistake, the flash does not support video out via jack. And no the 80gb and 120gb are not flash models. The best way to tell if something is flash based is to look at the number. 4, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128, etc.

say your 120GB one that you have would support it?

Yeah, the hdd models would support it, just a word of warning however. Being that they are a few years old you might not be able to find a brand new one and a used one at this age would be a lot more prone to having a diminished battery or bad hard drive inside. Doesn't mean they would all be like that though.
