Zune 30gb access is denied

I did the registry editing to view the zune as a harddrive. I cannot copy my music back to pc. Im using a new computer and it wont copy. It says access is denied. i tried to reverse sync with the zune software and always get error c00d124d.

i cannot start the zune up at all and the only time it powers up is when its plugged into charge.
- version is 3.30 (39)

I really dont want to lose all 30gbs of music as i cannot re-acquire 99% of it.

Any help would be appreciated. I dont know what to do and this is a last resort kind of thing.

you won't be able to see it as a harddrive. reverse sync is the only way to do this. what happens when you try?

when i try to reverse sync it freezes and gives me the c00d124d error at 0%. it wont copy anything. ive tried everything i could think of except reformatting the zune, which would be counterproductive considering i want the music off before i format it.any ideas?

I'm afraid you are stuck... reformatting is all you have left, unless you have backed up your collection. Sounds like you haven't though... if so, at least do a back up of whatever else you have on your PC that you wouldn't be able to replace if it dies...

so if i manually sync each song it seems to work. it does refuse to sync certain songs. i did about 4 albums no problem, then it errored again. I disconnected and reconnected the zune and when i tried to do that track it froze again. any idea why certain songs would freeze but not others?

yes. you have bad sectors on the drive... that's why you need to reformat it. that process will mark them as unusable.
