*update*

getting close to finishing a spanish version. the only snag I am having is finding the spanish version of the hymnbook. a text only version, specifically. I don't relish the idea of having to type out that whole thing. so if any happens to find one, i'd be grateful for a link.

as far as progress:
I have the Old Testament, Book of Mormon, Doctrine and Covenants done. I should have The pearl of great price, new testament, and gospel principles done by this weekend. so there's a chance i can get it out before sunday. we'll see.

I haven't done any tweeks to the actual code. At this time, the spanish version will be a seperate app. I do have plans to incorporate it into the english version, thereby having both in one, but at this time a 30~40min deploy would be heinous.

I don't know if this is going to help at all or not, but here is a thread at another forums talking about spanish LDS Hymns.

I apologize if this isn't what you were looking for.

addded a link to the spanish version "zune SUD". As noted, I never found the hymn book text, so that will take a bit.

I'm pretty happy how this turned out. I got the text from a better source and figured out (ie google) how to allow spanish chars and other "special" chars (bullet points, elongated hyphens, etc), and it (the text source) had good spacing between paragraphs. I think I may go back and redo the english version later to clean it up.

In the future, I plan on looking into a better way of loading the books. there are too many .txt files resulting in a painful deploy.

After I get that nailed down or I get to frustrated with it, I'll try and tighten up the kinetic scrolling and maybe add some more stuff.

One last thing, I think the english version is missing some chapters, specifically in the Old Testament. I'll update that later as well, probably when I go back and redo the English version. Enjoy!

Thanks this is awesome. Is it possible to put the other manuals on there as well? It would be nice to have them.

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I've been working on getting the scriptures on my zune for a while now. I had to go through the zune ebook reader, find .epub files online and even then I couldn't get all the books correctly. You are the best! Thanks brother.

Under Manuals - Gospel Principles You have Introduction spelled with 2 c's. Thanks for this, it is awesome! It would be awesome if you could add Preach My Gospel! Thanks a lot!

This is an amazing ebook reader in (sort of) disguise! It's the best one out there also vs the official Zune eBook reader and the other readers. With a little tweaking and deleting you can add your own txt, background images, etc. Having the source for the app is essential. Thanks!

I wish it was more noticeable but because it's related to religion and the title doesn't stand out as ebook, it's low on the radar.

@zune3 - Thanks for seeing that, Ill make sure to change that for the next version. i'll look into the Preach My Gospel manual.

@FMTForever - for sure. I can see how any app with religious undertones is automatically ignored by users. I actually just got on (on vacation at the moment) and saw that you had posted another thread using the source (still haven't read it yet, will after i post this) and that's what I hoped would happen eventually. Hopefully the source was easy to figure out; I didn't document the code very well. thanks for the kind words!

I noticed that when its unpacking to the Zune that the chapter upload out of order. Does that effect the program at all?
