Zune 120 has no sound.

I've recently bought a refurbished Zune 120, everything seems to be in order....except there's no sound, at all. I've tried all the obvious resolution attempts -different headphones, reset, hard reset- to no avail. I'm really at a loss here, the item was listed as "like new" condition, but I have really no idea what's going on here. Can someone help me out here? Is there something I'm missing, or is this a defective product?

different headphones...? Check.
Reset (reboot) zune...? Check.
Hard reset (reinstall firmware)...? Check.
Uh oh.. yes, sounds like it is defective if my interpretation of your 'resets' is valid.

Yeah, I first performed a standard reset, (hold back + up), then a full firmware reset where the HDD was wiped and the software was reinstalled.

then you have done everything you can do. return it if you can... it is broken.
