Need to fix Zune Software issue or workaround

I do not have time to rebuild my pc right now. I am looking for one of two fixs:

1. Software crashes after running for a short time

I removed the software and all the databases still not working

2. Connect zune to another pc running zune software and sync files over network from the pc giving me issues.

I am going on a trip and lost my zune sync cable but I will probably order another and some how figure out how to get podvasts and newer music on there somehow.

I tried a system restore point when this issue happened, it didnt go back far but when I ran SS, it didnt like the one I chose and rolled back to current day.

Reinstall anything you installed or upgraded around the time this issue started (the crashing.) some shared dll for instance may be the culprit, and those are extremely hard to figure out from the error msg alone.

I think it was iTunes. I installed it. I removed it, no go, removed Quicktime same thing. Even gutted out leftover stuff, removed zune and gut it out and still no go. Then of course the bad SS.....
