Cool Happy (belated) Birthday, Zune!
It was November 14th, 2006 when Microsoft released the first Zune and launched its foray into the music space dominated by another iconic media player.

Say what you will about the evolution of Zune, but the fact it's still humming along after 5 years of an uphill battle, speaks volumes.

The stand-alone device isn't being made anymore, but Zune is still very much alive (admittedly in a much less prominent role) in the Xbox and Windows Phone platforms.
