Apparently Master Chief has had a jet pack the entire time ...
What about him having a jetpack in that video means he's always had one? You'd need to know the timeline and model of that suit, neither of which is explicit there.

He has the same Mark VI armor that he used in Halo 2 and 3 and he had Cortana freeze him in the chamber at the end of the third halo game so he wouldn't die because they knew it could be years before they're rescued and they didn't even know if a rescue could happen.

And it would be impossible for it to have been upgraded in the meantime?

The ship he was on (or should I say half a ship) Wouldn't have any upgraded armor inside or he would have used it during the final fight against the Cov and Flood.
@Locke, yeah at the end of Halo 3, he goes into 'cryo sleep' in that chamber he pops out of. He's free floating in space, and just got woken up by Cortana.
So basically Halo 3 ends by him going to sleep, this trailer is him waking up.
When I heard about this my first thought was "great... the Sonic of the FPS genre." I mean, they want to do ANOTHER 3 Halo games. It's going to become utter garbage. I am excited about the Halo: Combat Evolved remake (and it better be released on PC.)

"Master Chief Petty Officer" is the highest NCO rank possible in the Navy, there is one higher, "Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy", but only one person is awarded that, and he/she is in charge of the entire Navy.

I doubt it will be. I'd get it if it was.
