This is my first foray into ZuneHD gaming and also my first publicly released game. All of the credits are given on the instruction page. It's completely functional and looks pretty good (thanks to CobaltHex).
I have a few ideas as to where it could go next, especially as far as convenience, but suggestions are welcome as well as reports of glitches.
You may notice a flicker of the number score the first time you view it. This is not your device, and it doesn't seem to be a result of my programming. It does not mean anything is wrong, at all.
Pretty awesome, I'm digging the retro graphics
Also, was there any specific reason you used OpenZDK?
@Food There were two reasons why I used OpenZDK. First, I wanted to try it out in order to do future work in it. Second, I needed to brush up on my c++ because c# was making me lazy and stupid.
i think its good your doing ozdk instead of xna, since there is so much greater potential for it. the app looks good too, much better than the other snake out there (no offense to whoever made it)
I like it. But sometimes I randomly die. I think it has to do with a glitch when you press a directional key because that seems to be when it happens. Perhaps something to do with pressing multiple directions at once?

I got this too. I lose even if I haven't gotten a berry yet (walls are off)
this looks cool and i like the fact that in incorporates both the restart of the device and just exit to the device. i will download this and deploy it when i get home
I wonder if this could be able to use the accelerometer of the zune instead of the direction pad that you built into it. Because then it'd be quite the interesting game if you had to balance your zune to play it. (that or give the option to do either/or accel or direction pad). Good work though. !

Does it say game over when you die? Does it restart the game or just go back to the main menu?
I had it so that if you multi-touched it would go to the pause screen, which, if it was unexpected, could cause you to restart the game or go to the main menu. I fixed it now, so see if the problem still occurs.

and i don't know if anyone even looks at this anymore.
but i LOVE snake and once i get the hang of the coding i plan on working on my own version.
anyway, usually when i accidentally hit two buttons at once it shows the game over screen, also a high scores and maybe a slider for speed would be cool, also maybe multiple options for the directional arrows, like a swipe option, or different locations.
