Default 360 -> Computer through Zune

I've got a bit of a problem here. I don't have a zune device but I want to cnnect my Xbox 360 to my computer. I have gone to xbox's site where they told me to download the zune program. Well I went to go download it and zune.net said I didn't have the Windows XP SP2 when in fact, I do. I'm not sure how to go about fixing this problem. any ideas would be greatly appriciated.

Are you running on an illegal version of Windows?

I have the standard Windows XP (Home edition I think) with SP2 installed. I do not have Windows Vista or Media Center.

You need to download Windows Media Connect 2.0, I had no clue they are trying to integrate the Zune software as the file sharing software for the 360... kinda cheezy when they already have Media Connect. Anyway, download the software from the link below... install it and then share the folders you'd like your 360 to see.

you might need XP Media Center Edition 2005 for it to work.

You just need Windows Media Player 11. It has it built right in.

Once you install it, run it. Select Library and in the drop down menu select 'More Options'.

Make sure your Xbox360 is turned on.

Select the Library tab. Click the Configure Sharing... Button. Put a check mark in 'Share my media to:' Select Xbox 360, and select Allow.

Once in the 360 select the Media blade. Pick Music, then select Computer. You now have your library of music available on Xbox360.

You can add/subtract music/pictures/movies via the Library in WMP-11

MS has a program where you can get your software validated online. It's going to cost you, but you will be sent a valid key after you cough up the dough. It probably takes 10 minutes.

Start here.
