An Inconvenient Xbox360 Proposal for a ZuneBoard Gamer League

Couldn't resist making fun of that awful movie that tells so many half-truths about Global Warming... anyways that is not why we are here.

I came up with an idea, which I am sure it so wholly unoriginal that I take no credit whatsoever, but the idea is this...

There are enough Xbox360 Gamers on the board at least from the Gamertag thread alone and there may be more if it gets enough publicity that we can probably start a CASUAL gaming league.

What I mean by casual gaming league is that we can all join up and play a game for fun. I, myself, am no pro at gaming and quite frankly I probably suck if that is not already a reality but it doesn't mean I do not like fun on the contrary I am sure some of us would be more than happy to get a league going.

Meet up and play whatever games that are on the serving menu. Dates and times can be set albeit there will need to be some flexibility as we all do not live in the same timezone, have work/college/etc. and many more time consuming facets in our lives.

So what do you all think?

Should we try to form a loose confederation of Zuneboard gamers to play games on certain days and times?

Considering this is 100% Democracy here...everything is open to suggestions.

I wish I had live...but that stupid router costs so much money.
That is a good idea though, in my opinion, i'll join in on it whenever I can find the money for a router.

Grab a switch instead of a router. If all you need is more connections in a room that should work just fine. I use a Linksys 4/5 port Switch in my room as my house is networked through a router that feeds into Cat 5 wall sockets.

$24.99 on Amazon and it will be good if you have to setup multiple connections in a room.

Unless you do need a router because you don't have the broadband connection feeding through one at the connection base.

Sounds like an awesome idea. I belong to a car forum and we were big into this last year. We would all get online and play halo, need for speed and the like. And now, with games like gears of war, rainbow 6, and the upcoming Halo 3 beta I think it would be pretty fun. Plus it makes this place feel like even more of a community

I'm up for playing, the only game I have is nfs carbon tho. seems like most people who posted said they had halo 2, so that seems like a good bet to. You just need a date and time, I can play sunday, other than that I'm pretty busy this week.
