Default Contacting Microsoft Support and Requesting Service

Contacting Support
There are two ways to contact Zune Support.

Option 1
Call 1-877-GET-ZUNE (1-877-438-9863) 7 days a week, during the hours 9:00 AM to 1:00 AM EST (6:00 AM to 10:00 PM PST).

Option 2
The second is by using Zune.net. The support page is here: Support | Zune.net.
There you can access the Zune.net forums and Microsoft guides.
You can also register you device on here: https://service.zune.net/
(You will need your Zune's serial number, which is located on the back of the device. It should look something like this: SN:000 000 000 000)
Registering your device will allow you to view your warranty and request a repair.

Service and Repair
To request a repair you must first register your device at https://service.zune.net/.
(You will need your Zune's serial number, which is located on the back of the device. It should look something like this: SN:000 000 000 000)
To request a repair go to https://service.zune.net/ and select and the error you have from the drop down box next to your Zune and click "Submit".
(Choosing "Zune Player is Damaged or Broken" or "Safety Concern" will not allow you to request a repair and selecting "Zune Player Screen is Cracked" will incur a charge.)
You will go through a few screen where they will try to provide solutions to your error. You can follow them, but chances are, you've already tried most of the things it suggests. Click "No" on each screen until you reach a form. Fill out the form and click "Submit Service".
If you called Zune support and they requested service for you, Microsoft should then send you a box with which to send your Zune to their repair center. It should arrive in about 3-5 business days from the time you submit your request.
When the box arrives, open it and place your Zune between the foam pieces. Seal the box with the adhesive. (follow the instructions provided in the box, or at http://download.microsoft.com/downlo...structions.pdf)
If you requested service via the online page, you will needed to use your own box. Place your Zune in your box and seal it. Place the label on the box. (Microsoft will send you a shipping label.)
*Make sure you remove any accessories from the device, i.e. headphones, screen protectors, cases, etc.*
Drop the box off at a UPS store (Use this locator to find the nearest one to you: UPS Locator).
The device will be shipped to Microsoft's repair center. You should receive a replacement within 15 days.
