I know a lot of people probably don't give a crap about little ol North Dakota at the top of the map, much less Dickinson, ND (where I live) population about 15K, but today I wear my DSU Bluehawk gear with hope's that three female students who went missing a few days ago will finally be found.

I'd assume that they are dead, it's been a few days.
J2800, You may have never been through this before, but you NEVER EVER "assume" they are dead. You always think positive, there's a chance, there's always a chance..
My prayers go out to the parents. It is terrible, but at least they were found. What's worse than finding out your child has died is never knowing whether they have died or not.

Maybe I *am* a bit cynical, but after hearing a lot of these stories, if the person is gone for 4+ days they are usually dead.

Say you went to the mountain and got lost and fall into area too slippery to climb out but there is enough of a food and water source around to keep you alive.
But after 4 day of searching the police say "He is dead. people can't survive that long"
And they Stop searching for you even though you are alive.
No. I'm saying that TYPICALLY, after FOUR DAYS BEING AWAY, the person is USUALLY dead. USUALLY. Not ALWAYS. Just USUALLY. Don't take me out of context.
