Time's when you believed you were staring Death in the face.
What are your stories(Or, if you actually died and was revived by means of defibrillator?)
Remember: This IS the Serious Discussion Forum. Also, don't say stuff like: Liar! You exaggerated! And the like.

In a car. In slow lane went to over take car pulled out so we were going too quick to slow down. Luckily there was a turning over the motorway (remember opposite side here) and we were heading for a concrete wall when we just about served back around the car. Back stepped out and we spun round and came to a halt.
Or when I fell off my bike and blanked out, woke up and couldn't feel anything below my waist.
when my ex told me she was pregnant. luckily she wasn't (thank god) but if she was my mom would have kicked me out or killed me on the spot (my mom doesn't play when it comes to certain things) and since im 17 i would have to get a job and all that stuff to help support it and she didn't believe in abortions so basically i was ****ed
When I was about 8, and I slipped and fell off a small cliff (probably 5-10 feet above the water) and was drowning. I didn't know how to swim, and I was almost certain no body had seen me. To my surprise, I felt an arm pulling me up after what felt like hours. Apparently, my brother saw me and rescued me.
Whenever I went down to Ocean City, MD one year... my sister and I were swimming in the ocean when all of the sudden we got carried out by a rip-tide. I think I was 10 at the time and I wasn't a very able-bodied swimmer. We were starting to get tired and the shore seemed so far away. I started to swallow water. All of the sudden, after a wave rose up in front of us, this group of guys appeared out of nowhere. I could swear that they weren't there before. They swam out to us, luckily aware of our distress, and they took us back to shore on boogie boards or something similar. My mother was scared to death.
This may not really count, but when I was still in my mother's womb, the umbilical cord got wrapped around my neck, and I almost chocked.
My siblings used to put me on a boogie board and shove me into the deeper water so that I could really do crap (this was before I knew how to swim). I remember at least one time when I guess I fell or something. I was going to drown, but of course, they were watching me to make sure that I didn't.
In Las Vegas, my family and I were staying at a hotel that had a swimming pool. I still didn't know how to swim, so I was staying on the ledge next to the deep water with my brother who also couldn't swim. We were given this one inflatable inner-type thing to share. I guess that it was his turn or something, and he started to go out into the deeper water, but I reached out, and I guess that my hand slipped. I fell into the deep end, but luckily, a lady saved me from drowning.
There have also been many instances where a car almost ran into me because I wasn't looking.
When I was first learning to snowboard I didnt know how to slow down. I picked up a ton of speed and crashed my head hit an ice patch and i was out for ~2min. Could recall the crash or anything. It took me a couple minutes to grasp on to where I was and who I was. Pretty scarry IMO.

When I was 13 I was bored and jumped on the hood of my brothers car, he was moving, when i jumped on it he hit the gas and i fell off. landed on my feet but quickly lost balance and hit my head. Was out for about a minute and my brother says my eyes rolled into the back of my head. My vision was all snow (like the tv when you dont have cable) and when i got up, i went head first into the stop sign on the other side of the road. I was in the hospital over night, which the next day was my 14th birthday. I got out just in time for my birthday supper/cake.
I had a fracture in my skull (which still gets sore at times) and i broke my thumb from the stop-sign fall. Not to mention random cuts and bruises.
When I was 4 I went skating at a local large pond called Fish Trap Creek. and I was just sliding around but suddenly I fell through the ice. I was in the cold water for a few min when My mom got me out, wrapped me up in a blanket in our van and put the heat on full. Also it was snowing when this happened.

I was snowboarding at night. I was going down a hill that has two sort of tiers seperated by really steep slopes. At the middle tier there was a jump that would send you flying over the edge. AWSOME! I go down and off the jump. At the same moment in the parking lot a car hits some power pole and the whole place went pitch black. In mid air, I thought I had died. Completely shocked, I didn't land it and rolled about 30 feet down the hill. I didn't get hurt and it was actually kinda fun to fall down the hill, but pretty scary when the lights went out.
-12 or something, couldn't swim got in deep end at a pool, thankfully my cousin helped me.
-Whitewater rafting in the Salmon River, hit a really strong tide, tipped over got CAUGHT in the rope of the raft(I didn't have my knife on me)I, got a little too panicky, Tried fighting too get up instead of leaning back to let my life vest do it's work. Thankfully, that same cousin calmed me down.
I felt sorry for my mom who had just watched her only brother, her husband, her only son, her only nephews, in a tipped over raft.

I was driving home with a friend in the car and we had just gotten pizza, i got to my driveway and there was a car coming in the opposite direction(my house was on the left) so i decided to wait so i didn't have to pull some g's and mess up the pizzas and then suddenly i hear a loud screeching noise, i looked in my rearview mirror and there was a blue pickup with it's brakes locked-up skidding towards me, I floor the gas and pop the clutch, thinking i could make in the driveway before he hit me and my friend and i became a permanent fixture to my car, but nothing happened. we were still just sitting there, then i look to my friend and see the blue truck over in the ditch going around us(missed us by inches, still going atleast 50 mph after locking his brakes for a good 100 yds) then my parents come out of the house trying to figure out what happened they thought i was doing burnouts because of the white smoke. then the neighbors backed me up when i denied it. turned out when i hit the gas and popped the clutch that my axle snapped...
I had alcohol poisoning once (from Vodka) and some of my internal organs shut down before I was taken to a hospital. I was only 18 and got an MIC (Minor in Consumption) and it sucked because my parents were pretty pissed and I had a lot of fines/community service to take care of. Good thing I'm not the wreckless young lass I once was!
Other than that, I've ALMOST been in plenty of car accidents, but that's about it.
It wasn't me that was in the near death experience but it was my friend.. about 3 years ago on the 4th of July around midnight we were all leaving from my friends house and my friend left first. (no one was drinking) but as i was leaving my friend was about 1/2 mile in front of me. He was driving '55' and suddenly (he says) he hit some gravel and slid out of control. He flipped his car 2x and landed 20 feet from a stream.... it was not a good day for me.
