They live a decent life, and that's right they're still living, and as such they can feel like they got away with their life. I don't see any reason to outlaw it. If it wouldn't then the prisons would be more crowded. I'd even support us going and doing executions like the romans. that way the human race could satisfy it's need to see death. And there's no reason because it's neither cruel or unusual. So I hope that helps you Trogdor.
i can semi agree with that, I don't know about the whole roman thing, that's like WOW!

i think the death penalty is a good thing
i had to do a report on a big debate and i did it on this
on statistics it said the crime rate is like 14% less or something(i think its higher than that)

An eye for an eye is my cruel way of looking at it. Those who kill, should be killed.

Yea, i believe in the death penalty. Plain and simple: some people dont deserve to live.

Y should we as a society support those who try to break that same society.

Y should we pay financially for the mistakes of others.

Those who kill, should be killed. I would even like to see that death penalty opened up to rapists, or repeated sex abusers. Just kill em, and save the money. The jails are over crowded as it is. I would like to see the electric chair and lethal injection stop being used, cuz they cost too much. A $.50 9mm round should do the job.

It's a thing called karma, and it bites you in the ass. It's coming for you.

So wanting to give justice to a victim's family is bad karma. If that is the case, then **** karma.

Giving justice to one's family is not what I was saying, if something bad happens to someone and you are related to that person, it indirectly affects you, because it didn't happen to you, you just care for that person and you are hurt because it happened to them.

If a drunk driver killed someone in your family, the drunk driver is sent to jail for murder. Just because that person is in your family won't increase or decrease his sentence.

the death penalty should be legal. thats no fair to the person that s murdered that the murderer can still live and they cant. there should be no leniancy to it either, if u kill someone, u get killed. there shouldnt be a trial just to decide how long, it should be automatic death. unless if there not sure who did it, or if it was accidental. i would rather them rot in jail. i think that would b more of a punishment. but, it should be legal in all states.

The death penalty should be outlawed. First of all, I find it hypocritical to condemn murder, then participate in state-sanctioned murder as revenge, it's barbaric; these are human beings, no matter what they're done it is not right to kill them in revenge, more for our own sake than for theirs, we need to be civilized in dealing with crime. Second of all, our justice system is deeply prejudiced, and the decision of applying it is left up to that system, it is in no way impartial and logical, just adding to the barbarity. Finally, and most importantly, innocent people are murdered with the death penalty, we know this, that fact alone is enough to justify throwing the practice out.

i used to be all for death penalty. eye for an eye is how i saw it and then i found out how much it costs to perform our "nice" execution. its ridiculous. it would cost less to house the man for life in prison. if there is gonna be a death penalty, take them out back and shoot them with a shot gun. make it simpler.

But, as was pointed out in an earlier post in this thread, it's not the execution that costs so much money, it's all the appeals and everything else that go hand in hand with it.

I considered the horns, and, behold, there came up among them another little horn, before whom there were three of the first horns plucked up by the roots: and, behold, in this horn were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking great things.[/

you are right thts true. But, also the overtime each person is paid to carry out the execution and the 3 million dollar facilities they use to do the execution is also a large part of that money wasted.

I'm not arguing that point. I agree. Personally, I still think it's worth the cost. Some people just don't deserve the chance to live.
