Myth or Legend?

I just thought of this.
Would you rather be a Myth or a Legend?(Assuming there is no other options) and why?

I would rather be a legend
To me a myth is something that is just made-up(Correct me if I'm wrong), a legend is someone who is dead/alive who did something amazing

A myth is a religious deity or belief that past cultures are long since dead or they stopped believing in that deity or belief.

Most people just assume the definition falls in line with Greek Mythology. Not quite.

Myth from the OED:

Hmm...it looks like they are more closely related than I thought.

I chose legend for atleast it did happen. And usually legends get so outta whack that they become myths. So I get it both ways.
