UT Austin Sued

I don't know what this girl's thinking. I mean, she didn't get in, that's the end of that! I mean, yeah she was in the top 12%, but she's from a small town with a small school, how hard could it be to get in the top 12 when you're graduating class is 50? She's nto even REQUIRED to get in....as long as you're in the top 10% then is it required.
Then she's complaining about UT being racial in their admissions process.... but UT's total enrollment of students was 37,000 in 2007....and only 6,700 were hispanic......i mean, they're talking about how it's the largest number that it's ever been....but that number barely even makes a dent in their total enrollment! I mean, just get over it girl! you didnt get in.....go to Baylor or something...I don't care....just get over it!

Interesting that a school accepts that large of a number of incoming freshman. It would be also enlightening to note on the basis of what grounds was she disqualified and what she finds wrong with Baylor? Though she could accepted to a satellite of the UT and still get a UT degree and eventually switch over to the main campus...like people do around here in the Purdue and Indiana University system.

Lawsuit, no, but an inquiry would be better.

Was she not accepted for not meeting strict standards or that they had to many other 10% or 11% applicants to accept anymore?

Firstly, i'm glad they acknowledged that she isn't REQUIRED to get in because she's not top 10%. Also, i'm sure thousands upon thousands of applicants got denied enrollment into the school, hispanics and whites included. Not only that, she's not going to overpower THE SUPREME COURTS' rulings on how to go about evaluating applicants. She's not a priority, neither are a lot of other people. She needs to kindly deal with the cards she's been given and walk away.

On a side note: I really so hope they look at her application again, and deny her.

yeah! I mean, this girl isn't going to win you know? There would be so many lawsuits in the U.S. if she did win...it's not even funny...

Frivolous lawsuits have led to increased product prices, medical costs and a declining dollar value. I figured the whole "I'll sue you!" phase would die with the 90s but it didn't. Gah, we are in need of some serious tort reform.
