this might be a weired thing to ask but what kind of prisons have you all built for yourselves. I think my pride is a prison, my lies, my greed my ignorance. i think most of my desires create these self made environments where i have needs that are really delusions. sometimes i feel like i need to be all in control or not in control at all. i wonder who could we be if we didn't invest so much mental stock in catering to things that have no matter what so ever on anything that has ever or ever will matter. anyway i was just wondering who or what we could be if we could find freedom from this stuff. do any of you even think its possible. i mean if we are all living or dying when do we decide if we are either living or dying

dude....that could be a great poem right there...invest some more time in those thoughts and you got urself a very interesting essay...even a book =]

i guess i cant really answer those questions for you, but you really shouldnt think about them too much. if you are, then i guess uve already decided ur dying in a way. just go live ur life, be spontaneos or something, take ur mind off of this subject. try to forget about all ur desires by investing a little time in simple joys. go for a walk with freinds, spend a night out on the town (if u live in/near one). make a list of exciting things you want to do this summer ...even if u never do them creating that list now will give u a feeling of excitement that should clear ur head of the above thoughts =]

these kind of thoughts are healthy every now and then because they involve deep thinking, but they will ulitimately just leave u feeling confused (unless u achieve nirvana or something). i used to have thoughts like this all the time, but ive learned to just not think about this stuff anymore.

Seriously I am obsessed with women. I try to have girlfriends constantly, so I think its a love issue or something.

Mine is anger. Event he most chill dudes and dudettes have a bad side.
I also make snap judgments when I see someone on what they might be like. But I always push it aside and let them show their real self to me. Usually I am wrong about the person so I know not to trust my snap judgment.
Though, when something seems wrong or out of place with someone, so far I have trusted that and it has saved me once that I directly know of. There were other times, like when I was in the middle east, that "bad" sense told me something was wrong. Don't know if I was right but I'd rather error on the safe side.
So yeah, anger and snap judgments on a new person I meet are my walls.
Heh, people think I am shy, but I am really just being quiet and stand off-ish to feel the person out and see who they really are.

It's not a "love issue" -- it's really a self worth issue. I've know several people with this over the years. They do not feel fulfilled in their own being, so they seek to fill in the void with another person. It's called co-dependancy.

Usually, after the euphoria of being with someone new, you will become disenchanted with that person because they don't fill in all the voids in yourself that you thought they would. You break up then search for another.

You gotta see the good in yourself before to really be happy -- no one else can make you happy.


Now to my problems...

I have several "prisons" that are similar to those posted above -- we all do. The biggest prison is a matter of self worth, or lack of. I need to take my advice I gave to Sexified Loveandhatejw and realize the person I am.

Dang that's deep..
But yeah mine would be my shy-ness...it keeps me from opening up to people. From allowing my self to be more outspoken and show my true personality at school.

For one, my temper.. though I try not to let it get out of control,
I have a very short temper.
Also, I tend to hold grudges for long periods of time.
For two, I'm very far from confident.
I'm sure many of you have noticed;
I rarely ever give praise to my own work.
For three, I'm extremely reserved. I don't like speaking up,
and I don't like going to other people with my problems.
I mean, I didn't even tell my mum when I first got my period.
However, I have been making efforts to change this last one.
I've been opening up a little more, thanks to Dizzy and Troggy.

EDIT: I also forgot to mention, I demand perfection of myself. Take ZuneBoards for example. In it, I strive to be one of the best , trying to gain trust and friendship and make it a better place,

not to mention trying to make my own life a little bit easier for myself, but i don't want to get into that

I guess I tend to not push myself as hard as I would like to. Sometimes I really get into the groove to accomplish something and then not having 1 item or tool or some money erodes my will to finish what I started. I also never speak out much, I'm not very out going. I can kind of see that changing now compared to how I was, but I'm still pretty reserved.

Everyone wants to be free, but hardly anyone has the courage to do it. We (especially me) prefer to sit around saying "maybe tomorrow" when we should just get out there and live.
