Idont know if it is just me but I get really angry when some people complain about there pay. Here is a story.

I was at my friends house and his mom had a friend over she was pretty hot so I was talking to her. We started talking about how i get payed minimum wage where I work, she then told me that I should be lucky because her husban works in a factory on a belt line ( he shrink wraps cosmetics ). She told me that he gets paid 28 dollars an hour, I **** my pants. I work at fast food the ones where they still serve you (Culvers). Were busy all the time and I have nights, it is a hard ass job. She was complaining about how little he is paid for such hard work. I literally told her that he doesn't have a job and that they are both pathetic ( He did not graduate high school ).

No because they pay him so much that means they raise the prices of they're goods, and that means I have to pay more out of my pocket.

Do you think jobs like these should make so much money, and/or how do you feel about them complaining.

There could be some type of health hazard as to why he gets paid "so much" for doing something so little. Hearing loss from loud machines, chance of losing appendages? And it might be harder than you think, unless you've worked that job before. I don't really know because I'm not exactly sure what his job is.

Yeah there is probably some liabilty reason why hes being payed so much, either that or she got his job wrong.

What about $45 an hour for the guy who refills the spray lines for the heated back windshields dispenser, and that was back in the early 80s that figure was known by my Dad when he worked as a bank teller making minimum wage.

Got to love Unions...

Yes it's probably a union job. And wage should depend on risk to self, and some other basic things.

I'm sorry but **** no; especially if this person didn't even graduate high school.
This trick had better sign up for a disability check and to Tobososlow and Stuart: most jobs I know of don't pay employees more just because they have a dissability or suffered because of some hazard.
They guy who is being paid $28 dollars a damn hour and complaining should be working at fast food where you work lovehate.

How about in the 21st Century in todays time where Unions take 7 dollars out of your pay check and tell you that you are in a team of people who have your back and that "you are in charge" while paying some random person else.

i get a little more than minimum but thats because i m both friends with the owner of the business and ive gotton a few rases. but he might have gotton ssome sort of combination between special benefits and getting a rase and liability.

the guys who pick up your trash get paid a butt load. I think it's because no one would otherwise want to do the job. Unless there's a big incentive like this.

well, construction workers get paid a lot because they're out in the sun and working SUPER hard and stuff like that. i'm glad they get paid well, even if they didn't get a high school diploma.

but if they're working at a fast food restaurant . . well. . i mean . .it's hard sometimes . . with the rushes and all and people being mean, but you can't compare that to someone who's working in a factory that can possibly lose fingers and lose their hearing and it's a bazillion degrees in there. there's a difference.

I can see construction workers that is a hard job but yes the man does not have an education and yes it is because of the unions. I know this azn chick and the mall who does nails since its considered a tip job she gets paid 4.50 avg and make around only 20 bux a week in tips.

i'm glad they get paid well, even if they didn't get a high school diploma.

Thats is why it cost soo much for a car. Companies just dont take the loss in revenue for paying higher wages and better health care they just add it to the price of the product, and im sorry I don't want to pay 20k b/c some **** head without a diploma complains and get 28/h with great health care. I am soory but were sending the wrong messages to kid instead of working hard and earning money were saying get a ****ty job then complain and join a union .

i can definitely see how you can be angry. But then if you see that this guy is making more than you, then I mean hell.....go and work those dirty jobs yourself! think about it....you're not going to want to right? I mean you might say "well hell I'd do that!" but when it comes down to applying and getting the job...I doubt that many people would. that's why they get paid more. Because of the risks that they take AND because of the fact that not a lot of people want to do it.

yeah, i know some kids that didn't go to college because they knew they could get a job at a high paying, yet dangerous job.

but you know what, those dangerous job deserves to be highly paid because sometimes, they're risking they're life. and [talking once again about a construction worker] they're MAKING buidlings. if someone is making a building that i might walk into EVERYDAY for work, i'd like to know that someone wasn't doing a job to the best of their abilities because they weren't getting paid enough. i mean, i know a worker at our college that ended up dying because a big beam fell on him. maybe he didn't finish highschool, but geez. i think thats a harder job than sitting in an office all day entering data into the computer.

Working in a factory is not ****ing hard I have a greater chance being burned to death by wendy pattys.

Yea but this sounds horrible but its like slaves it all works fine if the underlings dont know anybetter once they know thers a better life out there and they out# then were ****ed.

Yes some jobs need to be paid more for being dangerous but no ones going to care whenbetter jobs are getting paid less and less and prices go up, with the incline of pricess kids/teen will not get bigger alowencs and since ****s more expensive then we wont buy is like a 16 billion dollar industry.
