Default Pseudo suicide

I was watching 20/20 the other day and seen a story about pseudo suicide, it is a condition when people have horrible nightmares and they accidently do their dreams in sleep walk such as a guy running from something and jumping out a window

Reminds of me of the bizarre stuff I saw in basic. Like one guy who would sit right up while asleep carry on a conversation and pop right back down. Freaked me out the first time when conducting a head check while on night duty. Everyone is sleeping and BAM it happens.

I once had a heart attack in my dream. I woke up in shock and everything, it was really weird.. I thought I could actually die, but my friend convinced me what you're dreaming has no effect on your heart whether it starts or stops.

Though I still question that..

on the topic of sleepwalking...isnt it really really bad if u startle a person while theyr sleepwalking....and if thats true then how do u stop them from hurting themselves if theyr about to walk out of the house or something.

Try to restrain them without waking them? I am sure there are articles on line about this but there is also a whole lot of myth surrounding it as well.

Well I personally would say that you should only stop them as a last resort. And studies have been done that say that you can't die from dying in your sleep. *cough* studies *cough* but there is a thing called astro-paralysis where your soul (or spirit) leaves your body. If you awake before your spirit/soul returns then you'll most likely die.

omg don't scare me like that.. i sleep walk frequently and i usually end up near or at my computer desk..

not doing anything just sitting in my computer seat..

and one time when i was sleeping at my parents work. i ended up in the basement near a room that had no lights and i almost cried.. this is when i was like 8 btw. So since then i just kick and talk when i sleep.. i hope i dont die over something small like sleep walking

The die in your sleep die for real thing is NOT true. Do not worry.
I have been shot in the head, stabbed to death, and blown up in my dreams. All three times I died in my dream and I am still here, yay! Lets have cake!
Anyway, my dad caught me before I ran off the top of the steps during a nightmare/sleeprunning incident. Thank God for him being attentive.
That was the only time, but that must be horrible if that happens to someone. Especially if they really do not want to die.

It would suck to sleepwalk.

There's also a condition were people completely raid their fridges in their sleep and wake to find it their kitchen thrashed.

maybe thats just some ppls excuse for waking up in the middle of the night craving food...and then eating it and getting mad at themselves for ruining their diet, and then trashing their kitchen in anger.

I sleepwalk sometimes but only when Im stressed out. Like once I fell asleep in the living room and woke up next to the toilet on the ground

That's really sad.
I've sometimes carried conversations in my sleep, too, though nothing as hardcore as pseudo suicide.
