everywhere i go , most fights turn out to be a religion fight(even here on zuneboards)
i wanted to know why you guys think it always comes down to this religion fight? cant everyone just believe in whatever they want to believe??

According to some, no. If you ask me, yes. Hell, we have people fighting over video disc formats, TVs, Lossy formats and everything else. Religion is just another field for them to fight in. It is silly, pointless and ultimately will change nothing or in the case of technology be surpassed.

Well, i find religion causes a lot of problems. But i for one, am not to tell people what to believe etc. So its just freewill.

Most religions tell you that other people are wrong, and they are damned to hell/inferior if they don't think the same as you. So... they don't accept other's beliefs because a) they want to save them from eternal damnation and/or b) they "know" their beliefs are superior and have a testicular fortitude to prove it to you and everyone else

B can also apply to any non religious belief too~

fights can happen over everything, and religion is the basis for this world. So when you fight about anything, it comes down to religion because it's what you believe and it's your morals that make you stand up for what you do.

the last time i checked video formats and displays werent causing wars and genocides.........ppl are free to beleive what they want but the whole concept of religion is not appealing to me, its been behind half the problems the world has had since a very long time ago.

I don't believe anyone has the right to tell someone else what they should or shouldn't believe in. I think everyone should be more accepting of all kinds.
