Kinda stupid now how they think they are above the law that clearly states you are able to have 1 legal backup of a CD.

They're like," We're better than them. If we say it enough, it becomes true. OK everyone, it's illegal to backup your CDs!"

These assholes are just pushing it further and further. They don't even give a **** about customers that are buying CD's everyday instead of opening up Limewire and downloading 500 more songs. I'm only a minor, so if i get caught, they can't do anything anyways. IF you paid for it, its yours IMO and if you steal it, good for you, i do it also and idc.

Wrong. In certain circumstances minors can be tried as adults.

The idea is for people to be able to back up their music and to put it on portable devices but anyone can share a file once it's on the computer and that is what they want to make illegal. Even if they uncode cds like dvds people will still find a way around them. It's a vicious cycle.

Knowing the RIAA, he probably will. And even if they can't do that, they'll still sue for 1 billion dollars for ONE song or something.

And to the guy above, they said that recently they found a new way of watermarking songs. The thing is, no one knows what it is or how they've done it so they can't do anything about it yet.
