Yes, the Bible condemns homosexuality. For Christians. You can't complain about that. Also, passages about stoning homosexuals are irrelevant, because now each of us are personally accountable to God for our own sins through Jesus Christ, and physical intevention is somewhat looked down upon. Instead, church disciple is to be applied(examine your motives, go in private, go with a witness, go to the pastor, go to the congregation, if all of that fails, remove them from the church).

The Bible has no condemnation for slavery, yes, but did you happen to read what the system is? Jewish slavery != whatever the hell you're thinking. It was a 7 year indentured servitude, and the slave was to be respected as a human being and treated as part of the family. It was also completely voluntary. If a slave wanted to work for his master for life, the master had to drive an awl through his hand to signify this. Yeah, the slave had to really want to go through permenant slavery, it wasn't the norm.

wow. religion is still taking peoples rights away. This should immediately raise the alarm bells in one’s head. The practice of religion is riddled with faults that are detrimental to people’s spiritual, physical, mental and eternal well-being. It is no small matter – making decisions and taking certain actions now that have an ever-after lasting impact is obviously a serious matter. The faults contained within religion boil down to essentially two main results: Pride and Despair.

This is all that religion is good for: Pride and Despair. These are the only two things that religion – of whatever flavour (even the succulent secular) – can ever hope to accomplish. people want to believe that their life means something, when it doesnt.

i also want to apologize to all of the logical, open minded religious people on zuneboards who dont believe everything the bible says. this is, however, my view on religion.

btw, when you die, NOTHING HAPPENS.
