great update, way better then the first, easy menu, naming the strings was perfect
just one question is there alternate tuning on this one or are you going to put it on the next update because i could not find out how to get to it
but other then that its perfect
i was having so many problems with my zune and xna that once i got it working again i was tired of xna and wanted to take a break so i just posted this one. But i am definaitly not done yet. i just wanted a break for today and since i had this much done i posted it.
You should have just posted this as an update to Guitar Tuner.

All in all it's just another brick in the wall.
All in all you're just another brick in the wall.
If it's a while old, you can make a new thread. I made a new thread for Manic Miner a little bit ago, because I had the first post and the creator updated it.
You can either PM me or report the post to ask for a title change. It's no problem.
oh, idk not too soon. there is so much to doo with it and im not even sure if the zune will hold all the chord charts so i may have to narrow some down.
Nice. Just tunned my guitar to the actual notes. Been just tunning to what sounded good for years now. i was flat in my original tunning. But real close
Can you add Ukulele? I just picked one up last month when i was in hawaii. It came with a tunner. But it is the kind you blow into. I want to blow less and play more
edit: Maybe you can generate the sounds on the fly? You really only need A-G and then a way to pitch shift them up or down a scale. Well plus flats and sharps....still you only need to keep track of the string to note. Then play from a-z at the correct pitch... I have no idea how you will do that.
ok i can do all that including just having notes. I started out with the guitar pictures just cause of beginners who dont know string names. But i can add a reference page so they can see what to tune too
but yeah if i do what i said above i can add Banjo and Ukulele.
and just to keep all posted, i have been working on the tuner and also learning new things that can be incorperated (battery percentage, Threading, etc...)
Like i had said before pitch really has nothing to do with tuning, yes the sound may be different in pitch but you can use your 1st string to check your 6th string true? that's because they are of the same note. when an actual guitar tuner checks the amount of vibrations the string is generating it doesnt use sound, it uses electricity that is created by the vibrations of the air, your ear does the same basic thing. Use the general tuning that you do on your guitar then use this as a precise way to put/keep it in tune. and for the banjo and ukulele, learn basic tuning and use a reference guide, as you suggested, to find the correct notes, for each string, and tune. though the pictures are quite cool, and it is a good way for the people who dont know the notes of the strings, I am not saying get rid of it, but for those who know the tunings, set up a page that plays the note desired, and allows them to tune form there ( Note to Self: Somehow tell Microsoft to put a microphone on the ZuneHD.)
Oh and a question on the scales, chords. and other such things : Are you going to put in pentatonic, Natural, Minor, Major, #, b, and other scales in there? If so, a fairly good idea is to make a sprite the size of the screen on landscape view. the same basic idea works for the chords. If needed send me all your chords, scales, and such and ill make them into the correct sized sprites. PM me if you want me to do so.
