I mean I could direct them each to their individual download link but I like to direct them to the thread so that whoever wants to download the app can read what it's about. Also, I was thinking that maybe in your next update you could add some thumbnails to the apps.

It would be a good idea to use an open-source license instead - I see no reason why the source code need be locked up. By going open source, your game will be able to live on even if XNA keeps updating (don't assume you'll be interested in updating it by the time updating it becomes necessary).
Nobody's going to make fun of your code, if that's your reason.
the .ccgame package is easier for some people or the only way they can put games on there zune i am all for open source but the its not available to every one to use
like i just said i think open source is great but it seems to me that you guys are trying to push it on every one
just my 2 cents

You can always release both, there's no rule against it. And we push it on everyone for a reason: closed source games die. ZuneHero is already out of date and will become unplayable in the future as the firmware is again upgraded. Open source games can be fixed even after the original developer is long gone. It's in the interest of the Zune community to have open source games. Yes, .ccgames are simpler, but open source helps keep the game alive. So, if you want simplicity and a living game, release both.

He means that you can't extract source code from a .ccgame package. Of course he has source code, .ccgame packages have to come from somewhere. In other words, he can release the source code, but you can't release his source code, that was the point he was making.

Meh, I could've sworn I posted this a few minutes ago...
I assume you have WinRar or 7-zip to open most of the games?
First, right-click the folder you have the source and solution in. Click "Add to archive". Next, upload it to a file hosting site like Mediafire or my personal favorite, DropBox

I love useless carp. Screamer reminds me of that one video that spread around the web ages ago where the face appeared on the screen after you watched for a while. Love the Penguin btw

The easiest way would be to open-source your code and use one of the licenses from the page Bolt linked (I'd recommend using the BSD license and including "Copyright (c) 2009 AFlakjuju" + the text of the license at the top of each code file). If you do closed source, you have to write a custom license, which is probably more trouble than it's worth.
