Oh my goodness! I was playing and everytime I heard the monster grunt I was just like, GAH! Haha, it was REALLY creepy...but awesome game! This is amazing, really.
I like everything about this game excpet one thing.
This game contains one major flaw and i'll describe this major flaw below.
The hdd on zune 30 or 80 will keep on accessing data and thus wasting tremondous amount of battery life. I've ran a battery test and found out on a zune 30, the battery will only last about 30-45 minutes.
The constant data accessing is caused by the repeating sound track and the sprites's sound effects. I think making a very long soundtrack with many repeating section inside it will solve part of the battery problem. Loading all the sprite's movement and sound effects at the beginning of the game will also help.
I like this game alot. It takes what we can do, and makes it look like a completely different game. It seriously looks 3D. And it makes Ipod games look like garbage.
From seeing this in production, I cant wait to see Valgard's fate.
Nice game... love the 3d graphics... It is way scary.
"Press play to start"...gets cut off on 80 GB
mini map of level 3, after you get a game over, doesn't reset.
It would be cool for the minimap to have a radar sweep, so you don't know the exact location of the monsters. That would make this game even more scary.
dude can you stop making other games and stick to valgards fate. How do you make so many games that are great in such a short time i wish i was as good as you.You have a true gift +REP
I have but one small complaint -- the mini-map is.. well, it's too small. It seems like it could easily be double the size in the status bar and be a lot more useful. I find myself squinting to see the red dots (I'm colorblind, which doesn't help me locate them any faster), but it's so damn tiny. Any chance of having an option to make it larger sized?

Unless DiNo is unloading and loading in that audio all the time, it will just stay in memory and play without having to access the drive. Loading up a very long soundtrack is a bad idea because you'll quickly burn up all 16MB of memory the game gets. It's much better to loop the audio in code.
If you have a zune 30 or zune 80 you'll know what i'm talking about. The hdd will never stop spinning. Well, it spins down for half a second and spins up again.
Constantly accessing the hdd will heatup the zune making it hot to the touch, sometimes lag the game, and creates many problems.
I will take a look at this "issue" and maybe add an option to disable sound if thats the problem... I am not unloading/loading stuff continuesly. Its the MediaPlayer class that seems to access the music data during playback (which sound correct to me).
I'll test it in the evening today (german time). I am in office right now.
Wow passed the levels. Do post when more levels are avaible. Love the 3D-ish looks. Only thing that lags is the frame around the top and sides, If you can remove that and give it more screen play that be awesome. Oh and some sort of light source.
