I know the controls-problem in the menus... its easy to fix but I have to go to bed and I just wanted to give you guys something new to play around with, so it will be fixed in the next upload (tomorrow I guess).
No, there are just the barrels right now. I am still making graphics for other objects and enemys. Just to tease you, there will be missile shooting enemy stations that you can shoot and enemy soldiers that run to you and shoot at you.
But... jesus, I started it yesterday... I need a bit more time to do all this *lol*

Yes, you are right, BUT, I started this when I was tired of coding on Valgards fate. I need some variety in my hobby. Thats why I start smaller games here and then. I would not say that Valgard needs longer therefor. It would need longer if I would not do this, because at some point it gets boring working on one and the same thing and I would put away the whole XNA framework for days... These small games I do show fast progress and thats the fun! And its even more fun when people respond like in this thread...

for doing this in less and 24 hours, this is freakin' AMAZING!!! Just some ideas: Weapon upgrades(bazookas, other pistols, rifles...and a way to just walk, and a separate way to just shoot), health bar for longer gameplay (than just a certain life amount) and health-ups to help restore health (maybe one health boost at every 100 points scored?) and the down button should be to crouch cuz there are those barrels that always get me when i jump...lol. but DANG!! Awesome game man--we all can learn from you!!!!!!!
edit: cant wait for the future updates...oh oh, can you make osama binLaden a boss? maybe Saddam Hussein? Not to be racial or bashing, but the running man is clearly an american army soldier...just some thoughts...oh, maybe some land mines or snakes hanging from vines that you have to get past or shoot....
is this the Forrest Gum game ? This game remember me about the scene in Vietnam were Tom Hanks just start running before the bombs kill most of his team members.

I'd make it more than 100 points for a health boost, it is pretty easy to get 100 points. Lets say you have 3 lives to start with - and got a life for 100 points
you could score 400 points and have 7 lives before you die. So now your at 6 lives but you score another 400 and be at 10 before you die again.
If that process went on forever you would just keep on getting lives until you're at the point where you could just set your Zune down for 20 minutes and come back and still have 100 lives.
This could only work however, if you went farther into the game and there were harder obstacles the farther you got. So you could get some lives built up early so if it gets harder you wont die as fast.
