how about a integrated podcast module within the zune software app? i know it is possible to gain podcast support through a 3rd party app, but what about intergrating it somehow? like a plugin or somthing

What exactly do you mean by "podcast"? Having never been in the iPod realm, I don't know what the formal definition of the term is. Most of the quote-unquote podcasts that I've seen usually take the form of some sort of streaming radio show type thing.... How would that be incorporated into a portable device? Or am I completely off?

The basic idea is that it operates off an RSS feed that contains the info to each episode, so when the software looks for new episodes, it simply checks the RSS feed and looks to see if it already downloaded that episode, if it has it set, otherwise it downloads it as the newest episode.
